Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has disclosed that he is available for Saturday clash against South Africa despite spraining is hand in training on Thursday.
Omeruo who was seen receiving treatment from the team’s medical staff assured DiegwuSports that the injury is nothing serious and that it would not prevent him from taking part in the match if called upon.
‘I am ok, it’s just a sprain, it’s nothing serious.’ Omeruo told DiegwuSports.
‘The injury won’t hinder me from playing if called upon by the coaching staff.’
Omeruo has been impressive so far in La Liga where he is on loan from Chelsea and getting regular playing time. The defender assured Nigerians that the team is fully ready to delivery come Saturday.
‘We are ready for Saturday, the boys have trained hard and the atmosphere in camp is wonderful. I want to assure Nigerians that we will give our best on matchday. All we need is their support and prayers.’
Nigeria will take on South Africa on Saturday at the National Stadium, Johannesburg needing only a win to qualify.
