Nigeria Amateur side Next Naija Football Super Star has announced that it will take on the National Men’s Under 20 team, The Flying Eagles on Wednesday at Abuja in a friendly.
The announcement was made by the technical director in football of the group Emmanuel Okori who was speaking to Score Nigeria said that the match will take place on Wednesday at 7 am at the Abuja Goal Project in preparation for the upcoming African Games in Rabat, Morroco.
The Flying Eagles have been intensifying it’s preparations for the Games were it will face face hosts Morocco, South Africa and Burkina Faso in Group A.
This is the 1st time the Under 20 age grade will be used for the football tournament at the Africa Games.
CAF took the decision due to fixture congestion which made it impossible for a proper qualifying tournament to be held hence it was decided that all seven teams that qualified for the CAF U20 AFCON that was played earlier this year in Niger will be invited to the Africa Games.
Morocco completes the list of invited teams for the eight team tournament as hosts.
The 12th All-Africa Games will run from August 19th to 31st in Rabat, Morocco.
