Turkish champions, Galatasaray has announced that Nigeria defender Valentine Ozornwafor is set to join Spanish Segunda B side, Almeria on loan from for the 2019/2020 season
The former Enyimba defender only joined Galatasaray in June on a four-year deal following his impressive debut season with Enyimba which earned him a call up to the Nigeria U20 side and Senior National team.
However, this proposed loan deal to Almeria doesn’t come as a surprise as Galasatary had earlier announced at the signing ceremony that the centre-back would be loaned out so as to earn first team opportunities.
The potential loan deal was made on Galatasaray’s twitter handle and it read:
“Negotiations have started for the temporary transfer of our professional footballer Valentine James Ozornwafor to the Union Deportiva Almeria Club until the end of the 2019-2020 football season,” reads a tweet on Galatasaray’s official Twitter handle.
Ozornwafor was a member of Nigeria’s U-20 side that took part at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland in May.
