Super Eagles and Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has disclosed that the entire team is looking forward to avenge their 1st leg 2-0 defeat to South Africa when both teams meet on Saturday in Johannesburg.
‘The memories of the 1st leg is still fresh in our memories. We definitely want to take revenge for that defeat. We are much more better now than we were as of the time we played them in the 1st leg so I am confident we will get a win’
Iheanacho also went on to back this current crop of Super Eagles players to go on and win laurels for Nigeria.
According to the former Manchester City player, the team is full of potential.
‘As you can see, we are getting better and better. We learnt a whole lot from the World Cup, and since then we are improving as a team and also individually. Must of us have new clubs, play more often in our club and above all getting better in terms of team cohesion when we play for the National team. It’s only a matter of time before we start wining trophies’
Iheanacho also urged the fans to continue supporting the team.
