NPFL side Elkanemi warriors has announced the signing 10 new players for the new season while also announcing it has retained 26 players from last season and and releasing 10.
According to a source who spoke to Diegwusports.com the decision to keep most of the players from last season was to maintain stability and continuity.
“the team is still intact as you can see 10 players left the team and we have also get good replacement for them.
“You see in Elkanemi warriors we like to continue with the team we have last season.
“Since some players feel them want to go we do not stop players and the new players we are not missing anybody the team is intact.”
The source went on to talk more about the decision of the club to part ways with head coach Imama Amapakabor sighting that the coach was not 100% focused.
“We want to take the club to the next level which is winning and challenging for titles and qualifying for the continent.
“we need someone who is 100% committed to the course. Unfortunately, the coach was distracted with National duties which we are happy for him and we wish him well in future endeavors at the National level but we can’t neglect the club. We just had to move on.”

Eugene obi from yobe stars.
