Former Nigerian national team captain and coach Austin Eguavoen has joined a Slovenian club, NK Drava Dakinda as the new technical director.
The 53-year-old ex-Super Eagles captain defender won the 1994 Nations Cup with Nigeria in Tunisia and also featured at the USA 1994 for the Super Eagles.
According to a tweet from veteran Nigerian journalist, Emeka Nwani breaks the news via NK Drava Dakinda named Eguavoen as the club new technical director. However, no detail on the contract has been revealed neither has there been an official confirmation from Eguavoen nor the club.
Eguavoen has managed Sliema Wanderers, Bendel Insurance, Nigeria U20, Super Eagles, Black Leopards, Enyimba, Nigeria U23, Sharks F.C., COD United, Gombe United and Sunshine Stars.
