Nigeria International, and former NPFL Chima Akas has joined Portuguese side Belenenses on a three year deal.
The former Sharks of Port Harcourt defender departs Swedish side Kalmar FF for whom he joined 18 months ago making a total of 31 league appearances.
Akas is a versatile defender as he is able to play as a central defender and left full back a point Belenenses pointed out during the formal statement announcing the deal on the clubs website.
Chima Akas captained the Nigeria B team at the 2016 Africa Nations Championship under coach Sunday Oliseh. He also played for Akwa United and Enyimba FC before moving over to Europe.
