Nigeria’s upcoming friendly against Ukraine in September has been moved to Dnipro according to reports on the Ukrainian media.
The match was earlier stated to be played in Kiev when announced last week by the NFF but it now looks like the match will take place on September 10th at the Dnipro Arena.
Nigeria will be aiming to continue their good run following their brilliant outing at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where the Super Eagles camp third.
Nigeria will also use the friendly to prepare for it’s upcoming 2019 AFCON qualifiers against Benin scheduled for October as well as the World Cup qualifying series.
DiegwuSports also understand that the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr will announce the list of invited players for the Friendly against Ukraine on Friday August 30th.
A top source at the class house confirmed this to DiegwuSports on Monday.
‘The season just started and the technical department led by Coach Gernot Rohr will use the 1st new weeks of the season to access which players to call to camp. The list should be ready by the 30’ the source told DiegwuSports
Rohr is expected to hand call ups to some new players especially after the retirement of captain Mikel Obi and Striker Odion Ighalo.
