Huddersfield Town Nigeria born striker Andre Silveira Edionhon has been called up to represent the Nigeria U17 team for the FIFA U17 World Cup.
In a report by All Nigeria soccer the youngster received his call up Through a letter dated September 9 with reference number NFF/GEN/TECH/210/VOL.IV, from the Nigeria Football Federation requesting for his release to the Golden Eaglets.
Edionhon who was born in 2003 is expected to join the Nigeria U17s team camp, which is scheduled to hold in Istanbul, Turkey from 20th to 27th September, 2019.
Should he impress, Edionhon might make his debut for the Golden Eaglets at the UEFA/CAF Assist Tournament later in September.
Born in Greenwich, London, the attacker is also eligible to turn out for England’s youth teams but he has committed his international future to Nigeria.
Edionhon played for Lambeth Tigers before joining Huddersfield Town as a first-year scholar in July 2019.
