Kano Pillars have confirmed the departure of long-serving and emblematic attacker Gambo Muhammad
Gambo who played for the club for twelve yeare opted to leave Kano Pillars despite new offers from the club.
This info was confirmed by club media director Idris Malikawa who revealed that Gambo decided to leave the club after he did not agree with the management decision to send him to a coaching course rather than giving him another playing contract.
Malikawa, in his reports also said the Management of the club thanked Gambo Muhammad for his contributions to the club and said his name will remained writing in Gold in the history of the club.
“Initially Kano Pillars football club want to retain Gambo that is why, they decide to send him to coaching course but because of reasons best known to him he didn’t accept that proposal”.
Gambo Muhammad won Four league titles while at Pillars and was among the players that lead the Sai Masu Gida to the historic Aiteo Cup triumph in July 2019.
The striker who is also a former captain for Kano Pillars had last season fallen out of favor with the coaching crew which led to him being loaned out to Gombe United where he scored eight goals but was unable to save Gombe who were relegated.
