DiegwuSports understands that Chelsea striker is set to snub his England call up as he is undecided about his International career.

According to our sources who are close to the player, Abraham [who is eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents] was not consulted before being included in Gareth Southgate’s squad fu the Euro 2020 qualifiers which was announced on Thursday.

Though our sources confirmed that contact has been made by both Nigeria and England federations with Abraham, the striker didn’t give any response to any of the federations.

Abraham is also believed to have asked for certain guarantees from the England Football Federation as regards his role in the England National team set up. He wants to be assured that he will be an integral part of the set up and not being given a call up just to deter him from playing for Nigeria where he has been promised to be give a key role in the National team set up.

Our sources also revealed to DiegwuSports that Abraham will make announcement after this weekend’s EPL clash against Southampton.

Abraham has so far scored ten goals in twelve matches this season for Chelsea including one in the blues 2-1 away victory against Lille on Wednesday.

The striker in an interview with the BBC on Wednesday night after the victory had also said that he was still very much undecided on which country he will represent and Nigeria coach Gernot Rhor On Tuesday also told the BBC that he didn’t call up Abraham because the sticker made it clear to him that he wanted to focus on club career at Chelsea.

This will come as a highly welcomed new to the Nigeria Football Federation who had lost hope to luring the highly rated striker to play for the Super Eagles. It should be recalled that the NFF had earlier made an announcement through its chairman Amaju Pinnick [who is a close friend with Abraham’s family] that the striker has agreed to play for Nigeria only for Abraham to deny The information.

Whatever the case we are all monitoring the situation as regards this highly rated striker and who he decides to play for.
