Nigeria under-23s forward Bright Enobakhare has signed a three-year deal with AEK Athens, the Greek Super League club announced on Saturday.
Enobakhare, 22, was released by Wolves last month after five seasons with the Premier League outfit.
“It is a great move for me and I am happy to be here. To be honest, I searched the internet for how the team plays and how I train and I think it will match my way of playing, so I’m happy to be here,” he said.
He scored three goals in 49 games for the Molineux side but has had loan spells with Kilmarnock, Coventry and most recently Wigan.
Enobakhare who also had a stellar loan spell with English Championship side Conventry in 2019 and came close to returning to the club in the following transfer windows.
However, AEK this weekend heralded the arrival of the player who has signed a three-year deal.
Enobakhare was part of the Wolves team that gained promotion to the Premier League after winning the 2017/18 Championship title.
The 12-time league champions AEK are currently third on the league table with 56 points from 29 games, and will hope the addition of the forward will boost their chances of qualifying to play European football next season.
