Serie A club Napoli is keen to sign Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen from Ligue 1 side Lille this summer.
Freelance journalist and colleague Manu Lonjon reports that Serie A side Napoli are attempting to conclude an ambitious €100m double swoop for Lille players attacker Victor Osimhen and Brazilian central defender Gabriel.
Napoli is also believed to be in advanced talks with Osimhen and is ready to offer the young forward a five-year contract according to transfer market expert Nicolo Schira.
LOSC’s asking price for Osimhen is situated at the €70m including bonuses mark, whilst their demands for Gabriel stand at €30m including bonuses.
Osimhen and his representatives are currently travelling to Naples for talks, but the Nigerian is hesitant and would prefer a move to England instead.
Gianluca di Marzio reports that the Nigerian will set off from France at midday with his agents and remain in Naples for a few days for talks.
Gabriel however seems more open to a move to the Serie A club and deal could be concluded imminently.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is also working hard to reach an agreement with Lille to finalise the move.
Osimhen is seen by the club as a capable replacement for Poland striker Arkadiusz Milik who has been linked with a move to Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 21-year-old linked up with Lille from Belgian Pro League club Sporting Charleroi last summer.
He scored 18 goals and provided six assists in 38 games across all competitions for Lille during the 2019/2020 campaign.
Osimhen was also voted the club’s player of the year.
The former Wolfsburg striker was on Monday named the Best African Player In Ligue 1 for the year 2020.
